September 7, 2007–IFC announced the first official buy at the Toronto Film Festival on Friday, nabbing North American rights to Icelandic thriller “Jar City.” The movie, which won top honors at Karlovy Vary in July and is the top native grosser in Iceland's history, will be distributed via the company's First Take initiative.
