August 4, 2009 — In the award-winning documentary Pray the Devil Back to Hell, Liberian women determined to bring dignity and peace back to their country stand up to Charles Taylor and the warlords, armed only with white t-shirts and courage. Their story has inspired legions of fans during the film’s nationwide theatrical run, multiple festival awards, and international screenings.

“Julie and Julia,” starring Meryl Streep and written/directed by Nora Ephron, is being released by Columbia Pictures on August 7, 2009.

“We hope you leave this movie wanting something to eat,” says producer says producer Laurence Mark.

In the 1970s, Tuesday's life hit bottom. Her house in California had just burned down and she had taken to walking close to 10 miles a day. She admitted to drinking heavily and was obviously at loose ends. Tuesday had not decided yet where to live, deliberating between L.A., N.Y., and even Europe. Fearing that she couldn't do all that and give a firm base to her daughter, she decided to stay in L.A.

July 9, 2009–Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman will star in a Broadway production of Keith Huff's “A Steady Rain,” bowing at the Schoenfeld Theater in September.  John Crowley (“The Pillowman”) helms the show, about two Chicago cops whose friendship is rocked by a domestic dispute.

July 1, 2009- Michael Jackson's iconic illuminating white glove, adorned with crystals from his “Suit of Lights” worn on stage during The Jackson's Victory Tour will be put up for auction by Profiles in History, the top auction house in the world for selling Hollywood memorabilia. The glove, the single most iconic piece of Michael Jackson memorabilia in the world, was specially designed by Ted Shell of Ted Shell Designs in 1984 and is emblazoned with bugle beads and Austrian crystal rhinestones and fitted with 50 small lights powered by a single 9v battery placed in the cuff of the glove. The glass light bulbs were wired on separate circuits making them twinkle at random for added visual impact on stage. The glove, along with several other Michael Jackson items will be available as part of Profiles in History's next auction, set for October 2 and 3, 2009.
