The events surrounding Princess Diana's death offer endless easy angles for a filmmaker: a terrifying car chase by ruthless paparazzi; a celebrity devastatingly killed in her prime; a controversial love affair cut short before it could blossom; a press corps accused of causing the death of the woman with whom they were so obsessed. Yet our movie takes a fresh approach, peering instead at the resonating effects of Diana’s death as it shook the foundations of Britain’s relationship with its monarchy.

The writing-producing-performing comedy group Broken Lizard has been honing their unique brand of irreverent comedy for over a decade. The idea for Beerfest was tapped in 2002 during the international promotional tour for their outrageous state trooper satire, the cult hit Super Troopers.

Contrary to popular perception, “Talk to Her?¢¬Ä is not my first film with male leads. ?¢¬Ä¬úLive Flesh?¢¬Ä is a testicular story. ?¢¬Ä¬úMatador?¢¬Ä and ?¢¬Ä¬úLaw of Desire?¢¬Ä were also stories in which men determined the action. In ?¢¬Ä¬úLaw of Desire?¢¬Ä even the girl (Carmen Maura) was a man.

The movie was shot in the same building I lived in Paris while I was doing a boring job in a calendar company. I drew a lot from my own experiences. Even if I go in a lot of different directions, Stephane is obviously a certain perspective of myself. But not just Stephane, I am in other characters as well.
