It was Holden’s final film prior to his entering military service for World War II, and he was granted a temporary deferment in order to complete the shoot.
The working title of the picture was “Something Borrowed.”
The premise of this minor, innocuous feature is rather simple: A socialite (Fances Dee), accustomed to luxury, has to live on the salary of her blue-collar husband (William Holden).
