Viola Davis is the fourth Black performer to win the quartet of awards after Whoopi Goldberg, John Legend, and Jennifer Hudson.
Besides Davis, other actors to win the EGOT include Helen Hayes, Rita Moreno, John Gielgud and Audrey Hepburn.
