Anthony Quinn, ‘Lust for Life’ (1956)
Anthony Quinn played the artist Paul Gaugin in Vincente Minnelli’s Vincent Van Gogh biopic, Lust for Life, for which Kirk Douglas received his third Best Actor Oscar nomination (but did not win) for playing the lead.

Quinn won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for a about 8 minutes of screen time.
It was Quinn’s second win of the Best Actor Supporting Actor, after scoring in that category for playing Marlon Brando’s brother is Kazan’s 1952 movie, Viva Zapata.
