Peer Support: Tom Hardy’s Locke has not figured prominently in awards season. But the handsome British actor got a boost when the L.A. Film Critics Association (LAFCA) named him best actor in early December.
Brad Pitt hosted a special screening at CAA over the holidays. Pitt asked the Academy-laden audience to imagine the pitch, “We’re going to follow one guy in a car driving down a monotonous English motorway,” while gushingly calling Hardy’s performance “master class.”
