Sundance Film Fest 1991: Sure Fire

Set in the Utah Desert, Jon Jost's drama, “Sure Fire,” played at the 1991 Sundance Film Fest in competition. The main character is Wes, an entrepreneur who thinks he has found the financial ticket to paradise with his vacation home scheme. To that extent, Wes develops little self control, as he realizes he is beginning to flake out.

“Sure Fire” was distributed by Strand Releasing, in 1993, following their critical success with Jon Jost's “All the Vermeers in New York.”
