The biggest winner this season was Inarritu’s The Revenant, which has earned 67 percent of its $165.2 million domestic gross since Oscar nominations, or $111 million.

For the 88th annual ceremony, Oscar producers have put two of the easiest calls of the night: best original screenplay and best adapted screenplay, which are expected to go to Spotlight and The Big Short, respectively.
