July 28, 2007–Fox's comedy “The Simpsons Movie” scored one of the best opening days on record in making an estimated $$30 million at the domestic box office Friday. Overseas, the picture is also scaring high.

Harry Potter 5: Globally Potent

July 16, 2007–The opening weekend of “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” dominated international moviegoing with a gross of $190.3 million from more than 12,000 prints. The launch represented the third biggest international opening ever, trailing only “Spider-Man 3” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.”

May 7, 2007–The world‚Äôs moviegoers were caught in the web of Columbia Pictures‚Äô Spider-Man: 3 at the global box office this weekend as the film grossed $382 million worldwide, the highest opening ever in motion picture history, it was announced today by Jeff Blake, vice chairman, Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Spider-Man's Synergy: From Hollywood to Broadway

April 19, 2007–Spider-Man, one of Hollywood's most successful franchises is going to Broadway. Marvel Entertainment announced Thursday that the iconic web-slinger will be the subject of a major Broadway musical to be directed by Tony winner Julie Taymor, who adapted “The Lion King” to stage, and feature music and lyrics by Bono and the Edge of U2.
