December 2, 2009 – Sundance Institute announced today the lineup of films selected to screen in the U.S. and World Cinema Dramatic and Documentary Competitions for the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. In addition to the four Competition Categories, the Festival presents films in five out-of-competition sections to be announced on December 3. The 2010 Sundance Film Festival runs January 21-31 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. The complete list of films is available at www.sundance.org/festival.

November 18, 2009 – Sundance Institute announced today the selection of 13 artists from six countries whose works will be presented as part of the 2010 edition of New Frontier at Sundance Film Festival. A collection of digital art, film screenings, multimedia performances, site-specific installations and video presentations will be presented in a fully immersive media lounge environment for Festival goers to experience throughout the Festival.

November 16, 2009 – Sundance Institute and NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) today announced the twelve finalists for the 2010 Sundance/NHK International Filmmakers Award. In its fourteenth year, this partnership presents an annual cash award to support new artists in international cinema and is presented to emerging film directors from four global regions in support of their next projects.

November 4, 2009 – Sundance Institute announced today Sundance Film Festival U.S.A, a groundbreaking initiative in which the premier 10-day Sundance Film Festival will expand nationwide on the night of Thursday, January 28, 2010 to theatres in eight cities, while featuring coinciding premiere screenings and topical events at the Festival in Utah.

October 15, 2009 – Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization that produces the Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival, announced today that the 2010 Spirit Awards will be held on Friday evening March 5 at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles.  The event will be held in a tent on the complexís panoramic event deck beginning at 8:00 p.m.  Over the past 25 years, the event has been held at various locations in Los Angeles, including 385 North Restaurant, Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, Beverly Hills Hotel, Raleigh Studios, the Historic Hollywood Palladium, and the Santa Monica beach.
